“Seduction” by Amanda Quick
It was a dark and stormy night. The perfect weather for a Romance novel since no one could leave the ripmybodice.com offices without getting their respective Ferragamo / Jimmy Choos / Gucci shoes wet and lord knows that none of the girls like it when their gorgeous shoes are sullied by rainwater. So having asked her trustt Cabana boy Juan to rustle up a Caesar salad (”Easy on the dressing, heavy on the bacon!”), Sheridan Sakura Carlotta ambled into the ripmybodice.com “Library of Lurve” and headed in particular, to a corner entitled “SSC’s stack of goodies”. She pondered a while, on what she should read next, having only recently recovered from the searingly hot “A Hunger Like No Other” that left the couch she was reclining on at the time slightly singed. “The full moon has come and gone,” she muttered. “Where is that damned werewolf of mine?” Mimi, who was also in the Library of Lurve at the time reading one of Kresley Cole’s historicals, scurried out, not wanting to be part of Sheridan Sakura Carlotta’s mutterings (which sometimes have a tendency to turn violent).

“Ravished” by Amanda Quick
Dear reader, I have a confession to make. I’m an obsessive compulsive. It’s true, it’s true. If I find something I like, I’ll eat it until the cows come home or until I eat the cows and all their friends. Or if I find someone I really like, I build a shrine. *moves slightly to the right to display recent shrines to the cast of Miami Ink, Gerard Butler and Daniel 007 Craig* So it’s no wonder that this…obsessive compulsive behavior has spilt over to my Romance reads. Thus dear reader, you’re going to get another Amanda Quick review from Sheridan Sakura Carlotta…and probably another one after this. *looks at ceiling* Aannd maybe another one after that though I doubt it because Lola the ripmybodice.com Romance Nazi will probably make me read something else for the sake of “variety” on the website and I’ll refuse and we’ll do the whole screaming/running down the hallways in our heels until one of us screams “these Jimmy Choos are not running shoes” or somebody falls down from exhaustion or until Mimi makes us stop. Mimi has a gift for doing that. Until then, I present to you “Ravished” by Amanda Quick.

“Desire” by Amanda Quick
(int. Lola’s office, aka. the room where the alcohol is kept)
“LOOOOLAAAA! I’ve missed you! Have you missed me? Thanks for keeping Juan and Sven company while Mimi and I were off hunting Grandpappy Carlotta. Oh he’s fine… fine. They’ve promised to keep a stricter eye on him down at the nursing home. And they’ve upped his dosage of medication and put him on a strict liquid diet so he won’t be able to use his dentures to file away at the restraints anymore. Aww Lola *hugs the plush size Hello Kitty doll/cushion on couch to self* I’m so glad to be back!! Where’s Sven? Oh right Mimi has asked for his exclusive services for the week. I forgot. Where’s Juan then? I could use …Mimi has asked for…wow this Mimi really knows how to monopolize the help doesn’t she? So I see you’ve been reading a lot while we were away. Very impressive and also, thanks for mending the fort my always accessorized friend! Yeah I read a book once in a while when I wasn’t driving the ripmybodice mobile. Hmm? No you’re right. Mimi doesn’t drive. Oh no you see, when it’s her turn to drive, we usually pull into some cosy little town and she’ll flash somebody and then he drives. Yep.
