“Gideon (The Nightwalkers, Book 2)” by Jacquelyn Frank
In the second installment of Ms Frank’s new series, we read all about the most powerful of Ancients, a handsome silver haired fox known only as Gideon. Revered for his power and reserve, Gideon serves as a Healer Demon in the Nightwalker world when we first meet him, then, baby daddy to Magdelegna in the end. Though I am not quite jumping out of my seat to reach for that marker to write Gideon’s name on (what available space there is left on) my body, Ms Frank crafts a world so intricate that you can’t help but be sucked into the war between the Demons and the Necromancers while simultaneously being intrigued by Damien, the Vampire Prince. Damien. How you disappointed me with your association with JASMINE. You should have kicked her off your castle and staked her at midday! Tis by a hair’s breath (and the fact that I recently had my walls painted) that I did not hurl your book across my bedroom. Bah!!!

“Well you can’t fault me for making sure Lola. Because have I mentioned that Jacob is my heart’s desire? I’ve always wanted to feel the earth move under my feet and have every pane of glass in my house shatter from the extreme force of his lovemaking”
