I’m still waiting for my copy of Fairyville. Yes, our local book store has failed me on a level previously unimaginable, surpassed only by that time Coco my French bulldog decided to let go the previous night’s dinner on the shoes of that cute jogger I met in the park. (I was there to have a picnic, and not actually jog.) My puppy’s resemblance to the Hoover Dam notwithstanding, I decided to keep myself entertained by reading another Emma Holly book.

For all of those out there who are looking for a guide to good eating habits, this is not the book for you. Instead, it’s an Emma Holly book. You have been warned. There’s something about a man in uniform. All hot studs in uniforms are welcome to apply to ripmybodice, as we’re planning to have our own studly version of the Village People for our office Christmas party. If you’re in uniform, we want you! (But we draw the line at dog-catchers). When you have an Emma Holly hero who is also a man in uniform? Turn up the air-conditioning and settle back with a big pitcher of mango margaritas, it’s going to be a hot time in the city tonight.
