“The Desert Sheikh’s Captive Bride” and “The Greek Tycoon’s Defiant Bride” by Lynne Graham
Lynne Graham, how many hours of enjoyment you have brought me. OK maybe hours is a bit of a stretch since your books are Harlequin and consequently, I have seen thicker pancakes. But you are my new heart twinge quick read guilty pleasure now that Diana Palmer has firmly established herself in that no-mans land— Walker, Texas Ranger territory.

“She’s No Faerie Princess (The Others, Book 2)” by Christine Warren
Christine Warren isn’t just a romance author, she’s a life coach. Indeed in her first book, she taught all her readers many lessons on how to snag that supernaturally hot sextacular paranormal male. For that alone the woman should be sainted or win the Nobel Peace prize or something but in “She’s No Faerie Princess”, she’s gone and rocked my world. Because what I’ve learnt from the second book in The Others series, is that sometimes, Betas are best.

“The Disobedient Mistress” by Lynne Graham
On those days when I’m feeling a bit antsy and want a quick romance fix without getting sucked into a full-length novel, I grab a Harlequin book because the book gets straight to the point. Or at least, it should in theory. Because sometimes I can do without the hero and heroine pussy footing around trying to “feel” each other out in an attempt for emotional conflict, but which I really know is a poorly disguised attempt by the author to meet her word count and not have her editor show up at her doorstep with a hatchet. The downside of this is that some (ok fine, a lot) of the Harlequin books are pretty… wait a sec, there’s a French word I’m looking for. Oh yeah. Crappy. And they all kind of meld together in my mind as some sort of super Harlequin monster: The Billionaire Cowboy Fireman Tycoon Greek-Spanish-Italian Sheikh’s Conveniently Innocent Bought Secretary Mistress Bride’s Secret Twin Babies. “Pleasure Unbound (Demonica series, Book 1)” by Larissa Ione
My fellow human beings,
If it transpires, at any point in my life, that this world is populated by sexy hot demons, let it be known that I will not hesitate to abandon humanity and join ranks with them. No no! Do not try to dissuade me of my choice. My mind is clear. Made up! I’ll be packing my bags in readiness so that I’ll be able to leave in a moment’s notice. Because ever since JR Ward came into my life, I’ve pretty much been toying with the idea. Then came Kresley Cole to shove me that much closer to the edge. Christine Warren didn’t help very much either. So when Larissa Ione came along, with her breed of breathtakingly gorgeous, possessive, and fiercely protective sex demons - my humanity didn’t stand a chance. SEX demons people! Demons that thrive on sex and whose nature is to pleasure women. Come on. How can any mortal human male (and female) stand a chance?

“The Irish Devil” by Diane Whiteside
In “The Irish Devil,” which is part of this new Western series by Diane Whiteside that I’m reading, Viola Ross is stranded on the Arizona frontier, after her husband gets killed by some villainous guy who’s out to marry Viola. Viola’s this well-bred society beauty from New York who married the wrong dude, and now she wants nothing more than to return home to her piano (true story). But she can’t get back home and she’s left destitute, which means there’s only one thing left to do. What do you mean wire back for some money? That is WAY impractical! What do you mean try to take a loan from a bank? Hello, who does these things?? Viola of course takes the only recourse left to her. Which is to become the mistress of the wealthiest man in town, William Donovan. Duh.

“Wolf At The Door” by Christine Warren
In “Wolf At The Door”, Sheridan has learnt many important lessons about the sexy paranormal Alpha Male she’d love to keep chained to her four poster bed. More importantly, she has also discovered an author capable of making her chuckle at witty dialogue one minute, writhe the next (complete with keening cries of pain and flailing arms) on the floor at the fact that no such paranormal Alpha Male exists in her life to mark her as his own true mate, and the next, resisting the urge to plunge naked into Lake Tahoe in the depths of winter. Christine Warren, Sheridan salutes thee! *snaps to attention*. As a sign of friendship and in the spirit of If You Find An Alpha Wolf Of Your Own You Had Better Send Him On To Sheridan Sakura Carlotta, please find below the follow points hastily jotted down on the back of a crumpled receipt.
