Do the Monster Mash!

So it’s Halloween again, time for ghosts, goblins and the RMB girls to come out and play! Gather around the fireplace, as we explore the darker side of desire. Choose between your rival parties, as we pose to you this age-old question: Fangs or Fur?

1. You’re lying in your blood-red La Perla negligee with inlaid pearl buttons, when suddenly the window to your bedroom creaks open. It’s your supernatural lover, come to treat you to his trick (and oh, what a… generous trick it is.) You’d love to go hump in the night with:

a) someone who nibbles his way up your body, one delightful fang at a time. Sure, your neck’s his end goal and you’re going to wind up with a massive hickey the next day, but who’s complaining? His lovin’ is slow and oh-so-seductive, but baby he can bite you one more time. Just don’t forget to invite him in!

b) someone who rips apart your negligee with his bare um, claws. He’s a real animal in bed and if you’re in the mood for something rough (and maybe a bit of drool) then look no further than this wild thing. You know things are gonna be fun with this beast on the loose!

Touched by an angel

“Show No Mercy” by Cindy Gerard

Hello world, I am Sheridan Sakura Carlotta and I am here to tell you that I approve Gabriel Jones’s bid for Alphadom, and why you should too. As you know, we place great emphasis on the meaning of the word “Alpha” and do not give our endorsements easily. Though it is not yet proven that we will be able to hold true to our principles and not endorse a candidate who is unworthy of such an illustrious title because we have been earlier bribed by the promise of a) diamonds; b) all you can eat ice-cream; c) a lifetime’s supply of shoes; and/or d) all the ARCs we can get our hands on, we are confident that we would theoretically be able to give you, our readers, a fair, honest, and objective nomination for your deliberation and consideration. Today, we support Gabriel Jones, the star of Cindy Gerard’s new Black Ops series, “Show No Mercy” for he has all the basic fundamentals of an Alpha Male and here at RipMyBodice.com, we have helpfully compiled a basic checklist for your approval.

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

“The Black Dagger Brotherhood: An Insider’s Guide” by JR Ward
OK so the good news and the bad news.

The good news is that there’s a novella with Zsadist, Bella and their baby girl Nalla, that is too sweet for words. There’s also a whole bunch of dossiers, where the Brothers have to fill up information and it had Lola snorting in laughter (in a good way, I assure you).

It’s a jungle out there!

“Visions of Heat” by Nalini Singh

Dear Lola & Mimi,

Greetings from San Francisco! Alas my besties, my quest to hunt down the entire DarkRiver and SnowDancer pack has failed and I am on my way home. Please send either Juan or Sven to come pick me up at the airport. I’m the one wearing the bright orange jumpsuit. Long story, will explain later. I hope all is well back in the office, and that you haven’t converted my room into a shrine to Ted Bundy or a substandard video store consisting solely of bad B-grade mutant shark/octopus/mosquito/spider/crocodile movies. You know who you are. I learnt a few things while in San Francisco you know; which I may or may not have picked up while briefly in police custody. But again, will explain later.

She works hard for the money

“Overtime, Under Him” by by N. J. Walters, Susie Charles, and Jan Springer
With a title like “Overtime, Under Him,” tell me, how could I resist picking up this book? Sure, I was hoping for more of a conventional CEO-type thing, but hey, if it’s published by Ellora’s Cave, the nookie should be good right?

Yes and no. Yes, the nookie was scorch up the sheets hawt, but there were lots of moments when I exclaimed in my most genteel tone, “F*ck a duck!” Read on chickies, read on.

All I ask of you

“The Phantom’s Opera” by Sadie Montgomery
Lola rustled her bodice, adjusting it so that it modestly clung to her navel. “OK Juan, you stand here.” She fixed the white half mask to Juan’s face and tenderly arranged the black cape to flow delicately over his body, clad in black boxers with little Phantom masks printed on them.

What price torture?

“Plain Jane” by Fern Michaels
Wow. La Lola took about 3 months to finish reading “Plain Jane” by Fern Michaels. And trust me, it wasn’t in a “Oh my God this book is so incredible that I want to savour every moment of it so that it’ll never end.” There were always more interesting books to read. Like the phone book. In fact, the one shining moment was when I finally reached the end of the book and could return it to the used book store and get 5 bucks back. Yeah, that was really the highlight.

Soap operas and hockey stars, oh my!

“Power Play” by Deidre Martin
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of being Wild and Free. This is La Lola, and this is “The Wild and Free”.

Previously, on “The Wild and Free”….

Monica Geary, lead actress on America’s hottest soap “Wild and Free” (aka W & F) is in danger of being upstaged by a new actress with more cleavage than talent. Deciding that she needs more publicity, Monica needs to pretend that she’s in a relationship with a hot celebrity.

Caravan of love

“Seduce Me at Sunrise” by Lisa Kleypas
It’s Dress-Up Night at the RMB offices, and in honour of “Seduce Me at Sunrise,” the theme for the night is “Gypsy Nights.” Lola, swathed in diaphanous silk and with thousands of bells tinkling away, swiped at the gauzy curtains, Sheridan following hot on her heels.

“Come in my dears,” crooned Mimi. “Tell Madame Mimi your worries, and ask away!”

Cry me a river

“A Heart Full of Miracles” by Stephanie Mittman
“Lola, Juan’s made quesadillas for lunch! Are you comin—Lola?” Sheridan poked her head round the day, looking concernedly at Lola. “Errr… Lola? Is there a reason why your eyes are swollen like cantaloupes?”

“I’ve just finished another heart-twingey book! I know you don’t like Westerns, but this was so wrenching!” Lola sobbed. “Do you think you could get me 2 chilled spoons for my eyes?”
