Perhaps that's why I was so put out by his representation on the cover. (His pants are ill-fitting as well, but I digress.) I did think the "I'm not going to stick around this time either" thing was a stretch. And if he did think that he wasn't going to, then he was a perfect a-hole for going to bed with her again. But I don't think he ever intended to leave her, because there is no way that Nathan could be an a-hole. But if he never did intend to leave her, there isn't much left for a book. And so the questions keep circling. Vicious circle. You aren't into chest hair? Then what do you use to pull the six-foot-four guy down to your mouth with? Well I must admit, I don't pay much attention to the covers of romance novels, having decided to give up the good fight a while ago Meredith. He was a bit of a drama queen, what with the whole, "I must leave you to save your life" thing but boy was he rowr-y. Hahahaha! However, I do have one complaint, and I want to know whether or not I'm alone on this. Does anyone else not like this book cover? I realize that the cover is usually the last priority in terms of romance novels. And I certainly don't let the cover affect my purchases, but this one just bothers me. The guy is definitely muscled, but not Alpha-muscled, right? And he has poor posture and no chest hair. And the part of his face that shows kinda reminds me of Guy Pearce, who I do NOT find attractive. (Probably because of his role in North and South.) Anyone with me here? Yes? No? Ah, screw it.
