U know, the mark of a good book is when after u finish reading it, u feel depressed that a) the hero doesn’t exist; and b) u r not the heroine (not necessarily in that order). I desperately wanted to be Isabel. Not as much as I very much want to be Meredith Farrell, but close enuff.
