“One Bite With A Stranger” (The Others, Book 6) by Christine Warren
It started off well enough. Honestly. I mean, Dmitri is one hot as hell vampire with piercing dark eyes, is richer than Midas, and sexy to boot. And I love the fact that unlike the other Alpha Heroes who run in the opposite direction when confronted with their mate, Dmitri embraces the fact (almost instantly) that Regina is his and only his; and she is the one that’s all “WHATCHU TALKIN’ ABOUT??!” And he is like “you are mine! MINE! You belong to me!” “NO! I belong to no one. Just because I call you Master in bed and make me perform all kinds of submissive acts with you does not make me yours! No!” she responds, passionately. “Ahh…little one. I love your passion and your fire. I would never take that away from you my sweet vodka bon bon” Dmitri responds, stroking her hair tenderly. “So we agree then?” Regina asks. “Yes” Dmitri replies, “we agree that you belong to me only.” Lather, rinse, repeat.

“The Contaxis Baby” by Lynne Graham
So for about an hour and twenty minutes yesterday, I was immersed in a world of jealous Greek billionaires, put-upon Cinderella types and the dreaded attempt at revenge by the hero. I too want to be the focus of some industrialist’s plot for revenge because of my unforgivable sin of bankrupting his family/ screwing with his brother/ accidentally-on-purpose running over his family cat Popples. Because then, at the end, after having done all sorts of demented tricks on me like some twisty pipe cleaner, he will receive an epiphany and find out that I had actually tried to save his family fortune/ his brother is gay and Popples wasn’t actually a real cat but a cybergenic machine made up to look like a real cat that had been implanted there as a spying tool by his enemies.
That’s right. This is what goes on in my head.

A musical tribute to SEP’s Chicago Stars Team - brought to you by La “I love Captain Von Trapp” Lola and Sheridan “Is 16 going on 17″ Sakura Carlotta
(To be sung to: “My Favourite Things” from The Sound of Music)
Dear readers, we thought we’d share with you one of the many ways of how we cope with the ups and downs of life. Though most times we think life always looks better from the bottom of a couple tequila bottles, we do think there is much to be said about singing one’s blues (and troubles) away. So join us (because we know you know this song!) in a rousing tribute, to the glorious men of the Chicago Stars team!

“My Surrender” by Connie Brockway
You know, after reading the Rose Hunters trilogy by Connie Brockway, I have now but one simple goal in life. To be given yellow roses and a pledge of absolute allegiance for that seems to be the way to win an Alpha Male into my panties. For you see, with a simple rose, I will be able to ask nay, COMMAND that my dark and delicious hero stop playing around, take off his pants, and just take me to task. Preferably with something hard.

“Libby’s London Merchant” by Carla Kelly
OK I’ve always heard that Carla Kelly is a great writer, along the lines of Georgette Heyer. So when I saw an anthology at the bookshop, I figured what the hell, I’ll give it a try.
Lola: Hello Thin Pale Scary Lady.
Thin Pale Scary Lady: *picking up book and gazing at it critically* Lola, this book has no sex, you realize?
Lola: *highly affronted* Are you implying good woman, that I am only attracted to the carnal interactions between individuals, with nary a thought for the emotional and spiritual development of their transcendental love?
Thin Pale Scary Lady: Yes.
Lola: Fair enough.

After much yelling (at the computer screen and at each other), hair pulling, and coffee cup hurlings (at the computer screen and at each other) we’ve finally set up our very on Twitter page! Though we may be fashionably late to the whole Twitter scene, we promise to make up for lost time with much enthusiasm, our trademark snarks, occasional words of wisdom, and life lessons (like How To Drink A Body Shot Off Your Cabana Boy).
So come follow us on Twitter our dear readers, as we update you on what’s going on at RMB HQ, what we’re reading now and who we’re stalking (on Twitter and in real life). Just search “RipMyBodice“ and you should see a familiar icon pop up on your Twitter search page. However, we’re still trying to get our Twitter homepage properly set up so do bear with us through this technologically trying time in our lives.
XOXO,

A love letter to Rehvenge, by Lola & Sheridan:
Dearest Rehvenge,
So. The good news first. The good news is, that you are a helluva better leading man that Phury aka “I like to hold my fluffy duck blankie and talk about my feelings.” Because we really dig the mohawk, the cane, the fur jacket (we’re going to pretend that you’re friends with PETA as we are okay?) and evil amethyst eyes thing that you have going on. And as a badass pimp daddy with ties to the underworld? Smokin’ baby.

“Mona Lisa Craving” by Sunny
“OK, so boys I guess you know why I’ve asked you here today. We are staging an intervention!” Lola puts on a pointy cone hat made from rolled up cardboard, with the word “Psychologist” written on it in crayon. “We are going to solve your inexplicable desire and fascination for Mona Lisa. Now, don’t feel as if you’re being judged or anything. I am highly qualified to listen to what you have to share with me and provide a considered, objective view of what I think the issue is. Dontaine, let’s start with you. Why do you love Mona Lisa so much?”

“Never Seduce a Scoundrel” by Sabrina Jeffries
WANTED: The memory of having read “Never Seduce a Scoundrel”. Book found in closet while attempting to spring clean as had to make way for all the new purchases recently acquired during several blowout sales (plus side of failing global economy). Spent some time staring at the book as cover looked familar, as did the names mentioned in the blurb. Vaguely remembered reading it and seeing snow. Thus conclude that book was read sometime late last year. Either that or it was during the time Lola thought it would be a good idea to frost all of our windows in hopes to give Santa more time to get her christmas list sorted.
